Food Resources
In collaboration with the University of New Mexico’s WEAVE NM initiative and the National Institutes of Health’s Community Engagement Alliance (NIH CEAL), we have compiled an extensive list of food resources located in proximity to the International District. This comprehensive list includes various types of food assistance options such as Dollar Stores for affordable grocery shopping, community Food Pantries offering free food supplies, a selection of Grocery Stores providing everyday essentials, and International Grocery Stores featuring culturally diverse products. Additionally, we have identified Meal Sites that serve nutritious meals, seasonal Farmer’s Markets where local produce can be found, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Sites that offer specific nutritional assistance, and a Youth Kitchen Service dedicated to providing meals and cooking resources for young people. All of these resources are conveniently situated within a 5-mile radius of the First Nations Community HealthSource Zuni Clinic, located at 5608 Zuni Rd SE, ensuring easy access for community members seeking support in maintaining food security in the International District.
Here, you will find a comprehensive listing of resources, complete with detailed descriptions and links for easy access. Additionally, we’ve included an Interactive Map that can be conveniently used on your desktop, laptop, or smartphone, allowing you to explore locations and resources in a user-friendly format. Whether you’re looking for services, points of interest, or specific information, this tool will help you navigate effectively.
